Common questions
How do I add an Inlaid widget?
On the Home Screen:
- Touch and hold an empty part of the Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit, then Add Widget.
- Search for Inlaid and tap it.
- Choose a size, tap Add Widget, then tap Done.
On the Lock Screen, touch and hold the Lock Screen, tap Customize, choose the Lock Screen, then tap the area under the time to add Inlaid.
To choose which of your widgets it shows, touch and hold the widget and tap Edit Widget.
Why does my widget show “—”?
Apple Health can’t be read while your iPhone is locked, and a widget can’t read it if Inlaid’s access to Health is off. In either case Inlaid shows “—” rather than a wrong 0.
Unlock your iPhone and open Inlaid to read again. If it keeps happening, check Inlaid’s Health access in the Settings app.
Why are my steps different from the Health app during the day?
With Live freshness, Inlaid adds the steps your devices counted since Apple Health last updated, so the widget can be a little ahead of the Health app. The day always ends on Apple Health’s own total.
Why doesn’t Readiness show a score yet?
Readiness needs about a week of overnight heart rate variability (HRV) and resting heart rate, which come from wearing Apple Watch to sleep. Readiness is Inlaid’s own score, not Apple’s.
How do I change the app icon?
In Inlaid, go to Settings › Appearance › App Icon. iOS confirms the change with an alert.
How do I restore a purchase?
In Inlaid, go to Settings and tap Restore Purchases. Make sure you’re signed in with the same Apple Account you used to buy Inlaid Pro. With Family Sharing, Pro is shared with your family group.
How do I turn off anonymous counts?
In Inlaid, go to Settings › Privacy and turn off Share Anonymous Widget Counts. What’s Counted, just below it, lists everything that’s sent. See the Privacy Policy for more.
